Khalid Ibn Waleed, The Sword Of Islam. Another great person and leader from history. One of thee greatest millitary tacticians. We all know that the pen is mightier than the sword and that Islam was not spread by the sword. The Quran is very clear “There is no compulsion in Deen” in addition if Islam was spread by the sword, why are there still to this day, many millions of coptic Christians and Jews in the middle east, in Saudi and nearby countries. Readers may also be surprised to learn that the word sword does not appear in Thee Quran! However it does appear in the Bible a least 438 times!! Makes you think?
However, when the time came for the early muslims to defend themselves,to ward off tyranny, to protect the women and the children then it became necessary for the sword to replace the pen. Khalid Ibn Waleed was empowered by Allah to fight for a just cause.
Oh, and yes, I was named after him.
    Wa Salam, Wa salat
Peace and blessings to all my brothers and sisters.
