29:02Society Is Corrupting Around Us. Where Are the Muslims?
About this lecture
In this powerful lecture, the speaker unpacks the concept of Jahiliyyah — not merely as a pre-Islamic historical era, but as a comprehensive system of corrupted belief, unjust law, immoral social culture, and tribal politics that the Prophet ﷺ spent 23 years dismantling. Drawing on the four Qur'anic mentions of Jahiliyyah, the speaker argues that this system has never truly disappeared — it has simply rebranded itself in modern forms such as secular materialism, gambling culture, ethnic tribalism within Muslim communities, and exploitative finance. Muslims are called to revive the prophetic mission in their own time and sphere of influence, with three practical actions: studying the Seerah with purpose, identifying one form of Jahiliyyah to actively work against, and deepening their connection to the Prophet ﷺ through visualisation and salawat.
