Husain Abdul Sattar

Shaykh Dr. Husain Abdul Sattar is a Chicago-based physician and Islamic scholar. A pathologist and award-winning professor at the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine (widely known in medical education for "Fundamentals of Pathology"), he simultaneously pursued the traditional Islamic sciences, receiving formal authorization (ijazah) in the Hanafi tradition. He is the founder of Sacred Learning, a Chicago-area institute where he teaches tazkiyah (spiritual purification), hadith, and fiqh, and his recorded spirituality series are listened to worldwide.
