Interpreting the Quran yourself is a sin?! Can someone point out where God say that in the Quran? Thanks.

Suan-
Interpreting the Qur’an by yourself is extremely dangerous. We risk saying something about Allah that which we have no knowledge of. Allah mentions it alongside shirk:
“Say: the things that my Lord hath indeed forbidden are: shameful deeds, whether open or secret; sins and trespasses against truth or reason; assigning of partners to Allah, for which He hath given no authority; and saying things about Allah of which ye have no knowledge. ”
( سورة الأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #33)
So we need a proper authority to interpret the Qur’an. An average Muslim can’t just pick up the Qur’an and start deducing rulings from it, let alone picking up an English translation of it.
