How to Raise a Teenager: An Islamic Guide to Love & Boundaries
About this lecture
In this heartfelt and practical lecture, the speaker addresses the immense challenge of raising teenagers in today's world, exploring the pressures of digital addiction, identity crises, and dual cultural identities that Muslim youth face. Drawing on neuroscience, decades of parenting research, and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ — including his compassionate approach with young companions like Ibn Abbas and Anas — the speaker offers parents concrete, faith-centered strategies for building connection, instilling iman, and balancing love with firm boundaries. The talk is as much a reminder to trust in Allah as it is a practical guide to tarbiyah.
