The End of Humankind? Effects of AI Revolution
About this lecture
In this first part of a two-part lecture, the speaker explores two competing visions of humanity — the materialist-transhumanist vision and the Islamic spiritual vision — and argues that the forces driving the AI revolution are systematically stripping human beings of the three core faculties that make us truly human: reading, writing, and memorization. Drawing on Quranic verses, hadith, Islamic history, and sharp cultural commentary, he calls on Muslims to disengage from addictive technology, reclaim their cognitive and spiritual capacities, and recognize that Islam — rooted in the heart, the Quran, and the legacy of the Prophet ﷺ — is both the diagnosis of and the remedy for the crisis of our age.
