Very interesting lecture. I’m fascinated by Sh. al-Qaradawi’s analysis, as summarized by Dr. Jackson. It shows a sense of courage to go against the ‘safe’ classical positions (though that’s not to say that this is something that should be sought in and of itself). I just respect a critical approach that’s supported by deep understanding of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the history of the Islamic sciences.
May Allah preserve this sheikh and guide us to the correct understanding of His deen- ameen.

Was that the entire lecture? It sounded like Q&A was cut off. It also sounded like a criticism and not a wholehearted endorsement of Dr. Al-Qaradawi. Does ANYONE know where the follow-up to this lecture is? It could not have ended there.
Issues are so screwy, it may solely get better
