As-salaamu’alaykum wa Rahmatu Llahi wa Barakatuhu
I’m surprised there are no comments (yet) for this.
Definitely a lecture we should all listen to. It has lots to think about and insha’Allah apply to our life.
Both part 1 and 2 total about 40 mins.
Indeed very good…
Wa’alaikumsalam wrbt to both adikbongsu and Farhana.
I listened to this beautiful lecture sometime back but didn’t put any comment on it. After sometime, I realised that most of the lectures here are great….I can really relate to it. I’m a fan of this site in fact I’ve introduced this link to afew groups. May we remain steadfast in seeking knowledge and implementing it in our day to day lives.
good lecture alhamdulillah!
highly educated lecture.masha-allah
as salamu aleikum wa rahmatullah!
I was also ortodox. It is truth, you have to stay (not sit down) sometimes 3 h for a mess…
Islam is not difficult, so lets practic the Sunnah and be thankful to Allah for such a wonderful religion.
Thankyou for this lecture!
wa aleikum salam wa rahmatullah!
truly inspiring. Now I know why my Dua is not granted.
jazakallah for this lecture.
masha allah, truly inspirational lecture. Reminds us of our daily and regular shortcomings and the state of the muslim ummah.
Inshallah hope to learn, implement and spread the knowledge and give dawa through good character. Ameen.
Jazakallah for the lecture….assalamu alikum wah rahmatullah..
Thank you for this lecture, we sometimes forget in our daily life that Allah(swt) cames first. Inshallah my children will never forget this.
assalamu aleikum wah rahmatullah

Asalamu Alaikum wah rahamtulah, mash’allah this was a beautiful and inspiring lecture it was a reminder for those who need to be reminded and it certaintly helped me to remember Allah swt more as much as our daily life can be demanding. May Allah swt grant him jannat ul firdous and help is to be better muslims. Ameen
Thank you Sk Hamza for another awesome lecture…you are at your best when you so accurately challenge the Ummah to give their best to Allah SWT. Very very inspiring to ‘be better’..yes, T-Shirts are ridulous and casual dress etc. in the West has really gotten out of control. I was at a 5 star hotel for a business trip/conference recently, and some American women came to breakfast in the fine dining restaurant in pyjamas, flip flops and T-shirts. Islam engenders dignity and respect…as you say. Allah Akbar!
By the way, I am an American Muslim…:-)
wow MashAllah that was beautiful, it really relates to us.
What an excellent speech
May Allah Bless him

Very enlightening lecture. May Allah azawjal reward us for all of our good deeds and grant us a place in janatul firdous. I absolutely love this site. So many great lectures here including this one by Sheikh Hamza Yusuf. May Allah (swt) bless him and his family.
May allah always come first in our lives, inshallah
JAK for the lecture
I cherished what you have got performed here. The format is stylish, your written material elegant. Nonetheless, you’ve got obtained an edginess to what you will be providing the next. Ill definitely arrive back again yet again for a good deal much more in case you protect this up. Dont do away with hope if not at the same time numerous men and women see your imaginative and prescient vision, know you may have attained a fan suitable the next who beliefs what you could have received to say along with the way you’ve got presented by yourself. Very good on you!
Could someone put the file up? Jazak Allahukhair
MashAllah beautiful and powerful lecture!!
SubhanAllah..listening to this lecture makes me want to give up watching NBA basketball…
مشاالله very enlightening…
Alhamdulillah, this is just what I needed as a reminder to remain diligent and stay the course. I can relate to the point regarding how we choose to spend our time. It is difficult for me to spend much time vegging out with tv or some passive activity especially when I look at our condition; myself, my family, the Muslim community and even the broader community. So much of the media perpetuates mindlessness and consumerism.
May Allah bless and reward you for all what you are doing in the cause of ALLAH and guiding the community
