Zaid Shakir – Upholding Faith, Serving Humanity

About this lecture

In this powerful lecture, Imam Zaid Shakir calls on Muslims to move beyond self-interest and embody the Quranic principle of *ithar* — giving preference to others, even in times of personal need. Drawing on verses from the Quran, Hadith, and the wisdom of scholars like Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, he challenges the Muslim community to take the lead in addressing global hunger, disarmament, and all forms of slavery — physical and psychological. The lecture is a stirring reminder that true faith demands selfless service to all of humanity.
