Every thing is under the control of the Almighty; The death of the prophet’s grand son. was foretold. When Saitan was granted the wish the saliheen were promised much better life. Even now people like ibn Ziyards are ruling. That is why in Egypt, Iraq, and syria blood is spilling.

  2. Wani Mukhtar says:

the buck stops at Yazid, had he not sent young blood Ibn Ziyad to Kufa as Governor, Karbala would not have happened. Ziyad left Husain no choice other than to fight…

  3. Manna says:

Alhumdulillah, good informative lecture about the death of Hussayn (RA)

  4. imaimam says:

You may not consider Abu Mikhnaf as reliable, but Wellhausen regards him as non-partisan and reliable .

Ali married ibn Khulthum bint Abi Bakr (daugher of Asma bint Umais widow of Abu Bakr ) to Omar ibn Khattab.

33:33 talks about the wives yet uses masculine gender!
